ROSE WREATH

THIS PATTERN COMES FROM THE AOL COMMUNITY

MATERIALS: Red Heart Luster Sheen yarn or yarn of your choice, Size 6
steel crochet hook, 14-inch length of 1/8-inch-wide satin ribbon,
yarn
needle, gold thread for hanging, satin ribbon or rose or other decoration of
similar size (optional), hot glue gun or fabric glue
SIZE: About 4 1/2" across.
DIRECTIONS:
Ch 8. Join with sl st to form a ring.
Round 1: Ch 3, 15 dc in ring, join
with sl st to top of beginning ch 3 (16 dc, counting ch 3 as 1 dc.)
Round 2:
Ch 7, *skip 1 st, dc in next, ch 4. Repeat from * to end. Join to third st of ch
7.
Round 3: * Sc in right-hand side of next space, ch 5, sc in left-hand side
of same space, sc in dc. Repeat from * to end. Join to first st.
Round 4: * 7
dc in loop, sc in middle sc of previous row. Repeat from * to end. Join to first
dc. Fasten off. Weave in loose ends.
FINISHING: Wind ribbon through spaces of rounds 2 and 3, beginning and ending
on front of ornament and taking care not to twist the ribbon. Adjust ribbons so
ends are equal. Tie ends into a bow. Attach gold thread at top for hanging. If
desired, glue ribbon rose or decoration of your choice in center of
ornament.
