Materials: Baroque Crochet Cotton; or J&P Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen

Size 6 [1.80mm] steel crochet hook
Gauge: 8 sts x 4 rows = 1" (gauge was done prior to laundering my square)

Each square equals 2 stitches. The chart reads from the bottom to the top. Right sides are read from left to right, wrong sides are read from right to left.

Each solid square is filled with 2 dc
Each blank square is an open chain space (ch, 1 dc)
25 squares x 2 equals 50 ch, plus 4 for first open space
First row begins with open spaces
For a smaller coaster, begin at the solid inner border leaving the outer filet border off your square

Feel free to use a smaller hook and/or increase the number of stitches per block.
Using Speed-Cro-Sheen size 3 cotton thread with a size C aluminum hook, will give you a nice table center piece.
